The RIBA can be found at stand 2042 where you can see a selection of the winning entries to the Flood Design Competition or pick up a copy of the results brochure. To accompany this, a seminar session is taking place titled 'Anatomy of a flood protected house: RIBA and Norwich Union competition.'

In July 2008 the RIBA launched a two stage open design competition on behalf of Norwich Union.
The competition challenged designers to come up with innovative and interesting ideas for building housing in flood risk areas.

A total of 85 entries were received by the submission deadline in mid September.
Design proposals were from the UK, throughout Europe and as far away as Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, the US and Australia.
